Presenting My Images...

I intend to present my images through a portfolio on the internet. This I believe has many advantages and disadvantages but i think the majority lead by beneficial purposes. For example one reason I should upload these images onto my deviant art portfolio is because it can be found and looked at all over the world. This may not get the same human interaction such as in an exhibition. But here I am able to reach a wider audience and also it can be easily accessed.

Another reason is for sale purposes, the image is easy to sell and download or can instantly be sold as prints /frames/canvases etc. but in real life there would be a procedure. Whereas on portfolio, you would only require a login with payment details and your order would have been processed in a matter of minutes. the

The third reason i considered this is because it would be a lot easier to keep track of all my images and easily store them instead of framing them and hanging them in a gallery and stacking them up in a cupboard every time they have been exposed.

To do so I will upload my images to an easy to access site called www.deviantart.com this is a site dedicated to all types of artists who wish to create awareness of their existence and also start businesses.


I considered a real life way because this with frames and exhibitions would build a more real awareness for my photography. For example if i framed my images after printing then put them up in an exhibition, the customers/audience would get the real feel of the image unlike online. The viewers could only see the photo manipulated version of the image but in real life the audience could see how it would look like on their wall and also what colour frames it is available in, sizes etc.

Also the real life aspect is not too hard to sell as they can do it at any time and can even take the products home without worrying about the damage the delivery could have done.

Although, even after all of these positive issues per the reality aspect, I decided I will post my final images online because overall there is a large audience, a very easy service and an extremely quick way to gain this attention.
